The biweekly Fleet Meet video series is co-produced by Automotive Fleet and Fleet360 to compare and contrast fleet trends occurring in both Europe and North America. The discussion is co-hosted by Hans Damen, managing partner of Fleet360 who is based in Europe; and Mike Antich Editor, Automotive Fleet Magazine, who is based in the U.S. and follows North American fleet market trends in the U.S.,  Canada, and Mexico.

  • Multiple price increases in Europe from time of a vehicle’s order to its delivery. Grumbling about no price protection for prior year order that are cancelled and rescheduled for the next model-year.
  • Decrease in the number of A and B segment cars in Europe and increased limited number of compact van choices in the U.S. market.
  • As the number of EVs in operation increases there are increased examples deficiencies in public recharging infrastructure.
  • With increased demands on the electrical grid due to a severe drought, the state of California has issued its first-ever advisories requesting EV owners not to recharge vehicles during peak hours.
